Today the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) released a first homebuyer data insights collaboration with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) and the National Australia Bank (NAB).

The National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) today commenced a request for proposal (RFP) process providing the opportunity for 1-2 more major banks (ANZ, Westpac) to join its major bank lender panel for the Home Guarantee Scheme (Scheme or HGS).

From 1 July, 40,000 new places under the Federal Government’s Home Guarantee Scheme (HGS) will become available to help Australians to buy their own home. 

From 1 July 2022, five more lenders will offer the Australian Government's Home Guarantee Scheme (currently known as the First Home Loan Deposit Scheme) that helps more eligible Australians buy a home. The lenders are Credit Union SA, Illawarra Credit Union, IMB Ltd (trading as IMB Bank), Newcastle Permanent Building Society and Unity Bank Limited.

The Community Housing Industry Association and a consortium of private and public sector partners have commenced the development of an industry specific environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting standard, putting Australia at the forefront of ESG reporting for the sector globally.
