The Home Guarantee Scheme (HGS or Scheme), which is administered by the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC), has now helped 100,000 Australians purchase or build their own home since the Scheme commenced over 3 years ago.

The National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) today announced its support for a $32 million build-to-rent social, affordable and key worker housing development in North Parramatta, to be undertaken by the NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) and the community housing sector.

The National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) notes the Federal Government’s announcement today and welcomes the appointment of Ms Carol Austin as the Chair and Mr Nigel Ray and the Hon Richard Wynne as members of the NHFIC Board.

More social housing is being delivered in Mullumbimby, NSW with the support of the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) and the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).

Government announcement: Liability cap

The National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) notes the announcement on 28 April 2023 by the The Hon Julie Collins MP on increasing NHFIC's liability cap, and welcomes the Government's additional support to deliver social and affordable housing.

The National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) has agreed to provide approximately $70 million in funding to community housing provider BaptistCare NSW & ACT to support their participation in the NSW Government’s Social and Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF) Program in Carlingford, NSW. With the loan to BaptistCare, 10,000 homes have been delivered in NSW with NHFIC funding over the past 4 years.
