On Monday 11 November 2024, Housing Australia held a stakeholder forum to introduce its new CEO, Scott Langford, and his vision and priorities for the organisation.

Housing Australia approved almost $880 million in Affordable Housing Bond Aggregator (ABHA) loans last financial year to increase the supply of social and affordable housing across the nation, according to the Social Bond Report 2023-24.
Housing Australia funding of $300 million, financial support from Queensland Government’s Housing Investment Fund (HIF) and up to $150 million from Australian Retirement Trust (ART), will support the delivery of up to 604 new homes by community housing provider Brisbane Housing Company (BHC).
Housing Australia will provide $206.25 million in funding to support one of Queensland’s largest social and affordable housing projects, which will deliver 490 dwellings in Cairns in the state’s north.

In 2023-24 the Home Guarantee Scheme (HGS or Scheme) supported 34% more home buyers to purchase or build their own home than last financial year, with an increasing number of key workers and regional Australians participating in the Scheme, according to Housing Australia’s Home Guarantee Scheme Trends and Insights Report 2023-2024.
